The problem

A bad floor makes the whole space feel unfinished

Concrete is unforgiving. It dusts, it stains, it cracks — and the wrong coating fails faster than no coating at all.

Coatings that peel

A floor rolled onto an unprepared slab has nothing to bond to. It looks great for a season, then lifts in sheets.

Moisture from below

Slabs without a working vapor barrier push moisture up into the coating. That's a delamination problem no topcoat fixes.

Contractors who disappear

You get a quote, then a different crew, then a voicemail. Nobody owns the result.

Your guide

Michael Bierfreund has been getting this right since 2010

Southeast Flooring Solutions is a Chapel Hill, TN company built around one idea: the floor is only as good as the preparation underneath it.

Under Michael's direction, the company has grown into a multi-crew team of 14 skilled employees installing over 500,000 square feet of new flooring each year — epoxy and urethane coatings, polished and stained concrete, decorative overlays, hardwood, LVP, and laminate. We are licensed and insured, and we do the work ourselves.

Prep is not optional

Every system starts with mechanical preparation — grinding or blasting. Coatings that peel almost always skipped this step.

Moisture gets tested

Where a slab needs a moisture vapor barrier primer, it gets one. That single decision is what separates a ten-year floor from a two-year floor.

The plan

Four steps, no surprises

You don't need to learn about resin chemistry. You need a clear path from where your floor is now to where you want it.

01

Tell us about the floor

Send the form, or call. We ask about the space, the square footage, and how you use it.

02

Get a walkthrough and a real quote

We look at the slab — moisture, cracks, old coatings — and quote the system it actually needs.

03

We install it right

Mechanical prep, repairs, the coating system, and a topcoat, on a schedule you get in advance.

04

Use a floor you stop thinking about

Sweep it, rinse it, park on it. That is the whole maintenance plan.

Do nothing

  • Concrete dust in your storage, your tools, and the house
  • Salt and oil staining that never comes out
  • Cracks widening every freeze-thaw cycle
  • A space you apologize for

Get it done right

  • A sealed, bright, sweep-clean surface
  • Protection against fluids, salt, and chemicals
  • A finish chosen by you, installed by one accountable crew
  • A space that finally matches the rest of the property
