Our crews recently finished an outdoor patio in a stone overlay finish, turning an ordinary slab into the best-looking part of the backyard.
The project
The homeowners wanted a surface that was durable and genuinely attractive — something that fit how they use the space rather than just covering the concrete. A stone overlay finish gave them the look and texture of natural stone as one continuous, sealed surface.
What makes a stone overlay work
- Authentic appearance. The finish replicates the texture and variation of natural stone, adding character the original slab never had.
- Durability. Unlike set stone, there are no joints to shift and no individual pieces to crack loose. Maintenance is minimal.
- Versatility. The pattern and color can be tuned rustic, traditional, or contemporary to match the house.
Our approach
Every overlay is installed by crews who do this work regularly, with attention to how the pattern meets edges, steps, and existing hardscape. Those transitions are where a decorative floor either looks intentional or looks applied.
